Finally, the upcoming BlackBerry PlayBook Tablet has been revealed at a recent event. The tablet, which was showed off by RIM’s CEO Mike Lazaridis, comes with multitasking abilities. It can also handle browser that are based on Flash video playback.

The BlackBerry PlayBook Tablet was unveiled at an Adobe developers conference where RIM’s CEO gave us a sneak peek at what to expect from the upcoming device. The PlayBook tablet makes full use of Adobe’s AIR technology, which means that the device will be able to run several built-in applications as well as apps by third-party developers that are supported by Adobe’s AIR.

This is definitely a good move by BlackBerry. The presence of Adobe’s Air or rather the fact that this device supports Adobe Air will make it easier for developers (third-party) to create apps for this device. This will be open to a whole group of developers unlike those manufacturers who encourage developers to build software based on their own system.
