The Asus F80Q is a notebook that features ASUS’ Infusion Technology which is a manufacturing process used to produce the designs on laptop surfaces. Being inlaid within the chassis itself, the motifs are etched onto the entire laptop and will not fade with time. The Infusion surface also provides a level of resilience and resists scratches. The Asus F80Q also features Asus’ LifeFrame, SmartLogon and Virtual Camera technology. The notebook provides users with a way to communicate wirelessly, to log on to the system, capture and edit images, and video conference with multiple parties in separate locations at the same time. The optional Trusted Platform Module (TPM) is a security device on the system board that will hold computer-generated keys for encryption. It is a hardware-based solution that helps to avoid attacks by hackers looking to capture passwords and encryption keys to sensitive data. The TPM allows users to run applications securely and to make transactions and communications trustworthy. The notebook also features Data Reproduction Authorization function with ASUS CopyProtect that prevents the unauthorized reproduction of data in the notebooks. When locked, the contents in the notebook will not be reproduced by burning a CD/DVD, transferred to a floppy disc, an external storage or network drive. Other features on the Asus F80Q include the ASUS Splendid Video Intelligence technology that optimizes human skin tones, green stretches of grass and trees and blue sky and sea. It optimizes the PC’s graphics capability in terms of depth and color intensity in real time and improves contrast, brightness, skin tone and color saturation; spill-proof keyboard to keep the data safe from a splash of liquid (under 50ml. – users are required to save important files as soon as possible, shut down the notebook right away, and then remove AC adapter and battery. The notebook should be lifted up and liquid removed immediately from the keyboard. The keyboard should then be dried by paper towel).

The Asus F80Q features a 250 GB Serial ATA-150 interface hard disk drive with 5400 rpm spin speed. It also supports a DVD±RW / DVD-RAM optical drive and an 8 in 1 card reader that supports Memory Stick, MultiMediaCard, SD Memory Card, xD-Picture Card, Memory Stick Duo and Memory Stick Pro memory cards.

The Asus F80Q features a widescreen 14.1 in TFT active matrix with a maximum resolution of 1280 x 800 ( WXGA ).
