
The Asus N10E-A1 is a portable notebook that was released in July 2008. It features a 10.2in WXGA display with a maximum resolution of 1024 x 600 ( WSVGA ) and this display features Zero Bright Dot. In this notebook, Asus has featured “Express Gate” which allows users to access the web, instant messengers and multimedia features in ten seconds after switching the laptop on. The N10E-A1 features a 1GB of RAM and 160GB of hard drive. This notebook comes with a battery and its carry bag.
Just as the other Asus notebooks from the N Series, the N10E-A1 includes the cutting-edge technologies that feature the scratch-resistant panel. There’s also the Super Hybrid Engine which has been featured in this laptop for energy saving purposes. A new technology in the N10E would be the SmartLogon system that uses the person’s face as a way to logon to the system instead of entering passwords. This system is said to be able to detect one’s facial features and is capable of doing so in different lightning conditions. Lastly, there’s the RF Biometric Fingerprint Reader which features the AuthenTec fingerprint sensor with TruePrint technology.

The N10E measures 10.8in x 7.6in x 1.4in (WxDxH) and weights 3.5lbs. Built-in devices include stereo speakers and a wireless LAN antenna. Processor featured is an Intel Atom N270/1.6 GHz. Type of chipset featured would be the Mobile Intel 945GSE Express. RAM is a DDR2 SDRAM, 533 MHz with the size of either 1GB or 2GB(max). Hard drive is a 160 GB, Serial ATA-150, 5400 rpm. A card reader is featured as well as an integrated camera. Operating system featured is Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition.
This laptop comes with a warranty of 2 years. The usual keyboard and touchpad are included. It comes in the silver color. Graphics processor is an Intel GMA 950 Dynamic Video Memory Technology 3.0 with a memory space of 256MB. Network features are Ethernet, Fast Ethernet, Gigabit Ethernet, IEEE 802.11b, IEEE 802.11g with the compliant standards being IEEE 802.11b, IEEE 802.11g. Wireless LAN is supported.
