We all know that laptops and netbooks don’t come with the best sound available, if we want to purchase laptops with better sounds then we’ll have to spend more as these don’t come cheap. To help those in these situations, Dell has unveiled a new USB sound bar that is set to change the way laptops and netbooks sound. It is all set to change the sound of laptops and netbooks.

This week seems to be Samsung’s week as the brand announces yet another netbook. This time it’s a big deal as the electronics manufacturer is launching dubs the world’s first LTA-HSPA+ dual-mode netbook, the N350. There are a lot of netbooks on the market with similar features, let’s see how this one is different.

The Samsung N350 is special as it focuses more towards achieving a greener environment. We won’t bore you with all the ‘going green’ speeches, but this netbook was made with saving the environment in mind.

Since it is a LTA-HSPA+ dual-mode netbook, it is able to communicate with both 3G and 4G networks. Aside from that, it is a light netbook, which makes it easy to carry around anywhere. The device works on the Intel Atom N550 at a clock speed of 1.5GHz. It comes with 1GB of DDR3 RAM and a hard disk drive of 250GB. Other features include 802.11n WiFi and Bluetooth 3.0. The Samsung N350 comes with a battery that can last for up to 6.7 hours. It will be released this autumn in Germany.

Even though Samsung ranks highly in the home electronics market, the same cannot be said for its ranking in the computers market. The brand has recently unveiled its new netbooks from its NF series. The three models, the NF310, NF210, and NF110 come with similar designs but different specs. They all have a 10.1-inch display and come with 2GB RAM and 250GB hard drives.

Let’s get started on the models’ features. The NF310 netbook works on either an Intel Atom dual core N550 processor or a single core Atom N455. The NF210 come with the same options, plus it comes with a glossy lid. The NF110 works an Intel Atom N475 processor, which is slightly slower than the other models’ processor. Not forgetting, the less sophisticated design it sports.

The NF310, NF210, and NF110 are netbooks well-designed to keep the consumers happy. They come in a curvy chassis design, which is indeed very attractive. These Samsung netbooks are available in black and ivory colors. They will be released in October 2010.

Fujitsu recently announced a new convertible tablet, the Lifebook T580. The Lifebook T580 is a nice looking laptop, slightly different from the usual laptops we see in the market. More possibly, Toshiba is trying to change things up a little by unveiling this laptop.

The Lifebook T580 comes with a 10.1-inch display that is protected by Berliner Glass. The display can rotate at the central hinge to fold back against the keyboard, which in turn will convert the device into a functional multi-touch tablet. It looks small like a netbook, but is all set to offer what a notebook can.

The laptop works on Intel’s Core i5 processor. The device also has standard WiFi connectivity. It is said that Toshiba will soon launch the device with an optional 3G/UMTS broadband modem. Also on the agenda is an embedded GPS for on-the-go positioning. The Lifebook T580 is a nice addition on the market that is mostly occupied by Atom-based netbooks. The T580 can last for up to eight hours on its battery. Stay tuned for more updates on this device.

Good news for all Dell Streak owners, get your devices ready for the much needed upgrade! Dell Streak PC tablet will be receiving its much awaited and needed upgraded this week. The upgrade concerns its operating system that will go from Android 1.6 to Android 2.1.

Even though it’s an Adroid 2.1 upgrade, this is not the latest of the Android operating system. O2 will be releasing the upgrade over the air through its network this week. It’s puzzling why Dell won’t upgrade it to the Google’s latest operating system which was recently released. Instead, Dell will only be providing the Android 2.1 upgrade instead of the Froyo upgrade.

When the Dell Streak released, several experts commented on how the brand made a bad decision to include an old version of Android’s OS on the Streak tablet PC. Afterwards, it was said that Dell will directly upgrade the Streak to the latest Android OS, which is the Android 2.2 Froyo. But, that didn’t happen. For now, enjoy the new upgrade to the Android 2.1.
