The Dell Latitude E6500 is notebook that is powered by an Intel® Core™ 2 Duo Processor T9600 with up to 2.8 GHz speed on 6 MB L2 Cache capacity. The notebook supports Genuine Windows Vista® Ultimate, Business, Business 64-Bit, Home Basic and XP Professional operating system, as well as an Intel® 45 Express chipset.

The Latitude E6500 sports a 15.4 inch UltraSharp™ WUXGA display with wide view and a resolution of 1440 x 900 pixel (up to 1920 x 1200). It supports a Dual Channel DDR2 Memory via two memory slots that offers up to 8 GB of speed and 800 MHz memory bandwidth. The Dell Latitude E6500 supports a 128 GB Solid State Hard Drive (SSD), but also supports optional 7200 RPM Free Fall Sensor Hard Drive up to 250 GB, 7200 RPM Encrypted Hard Drive with Free Fall Sensor up to 160 GB, 5400 RPM Encrypted Hard Drive up to 120 GB or 5400 RPM up to 250 GB for added storage options. The Dell Latitude E6500 supports an optical drive that plays DVD-ROM, CD-RW/DVD and DVD+/-RW, has NVIDIA® Quadro® NVS 160M1 256MB DDR2 and Mobile Intel® GMA 4500MHD graphics card, wired connectivity via 10/100/1000 Gigabit Ethernet and 56K v924 Internal Modem (Optional), and wireless connectivity via Dell Wireless 1397 (802.11g), Dell Wireless 1510 (802.11 a/g/n 2×2), Intel® WiFi Link 5100 (802.11a/g/n) and Intel® WiFi Link 5300 (802.11a/g/n). The Dell Latitude E6500 also features Dell Wireless 5720 (EvDO & GPS) Mobile Broadband mini card and a Dell Wireless 5530 (Tri-band HSDPA 7.2/HSUPA 2.0 & GPS) Mini-Card for broadband and GPS connectivity, as well as Dell Wireless 370 Bluetooth® 2.1 connectivity. The notebook has security features supported by a Smart Card Reader and Contactless Smart Card Reader, Fingerprint Reader OR FIPS Fingerprint Reader (optional), Dell ControlPoint Security Manager, Dell ControlVault™, Privacy Filter (optional) and TPM 1.28. Other interface on this notebook are 2 speakers, digital microphone (optional), integrated webcam (optional), IEEE 1394, docking connector, four USB 2.0 ports, VGA, Display Port, RJ-11 (optional), RJ-45, eSATA, USB PowerShare, headphone/speaker out, one Type I / II PCMCIA and Expresscard/54 as well as a 5-in-1 card reader expansion slots. The Latitude E6500 is compatible with Dell’s range of docking device such as the E-Port, E-Port Plus, E-Legacy Extender, E-Flat Panel Stand, E-Monitor Stand, E-View Laptop Stand, E-Media Bay and CoolSlice™. It also has modular options via E-Family modular media bay with 8X DVD-ROM, 24X CDRW / DVD, 8X DVD +/-RW, second Hard Drive or Travel Lite Module. The E6500 weighs 5.17 lbs / 2.34 kg (with a 4-cell battery) and measures 14.1 inch / 358 mm x 10.1 inch / 257 mm x 1.08-1.3 inch / 27.4-33 mm. The notebook comes with a 90 Watt AC adapter with cord wrapping and a 65 Watt Auto / Air / AC Travel Adapter.

The Dell Latitude E6500 is a notebook that is powered by an Intel® Core™ 2 Duo Processor T9600 processor and has a 15.4 inch Premium WXGA 1440 x 900 pixel (up to 1920 x 1200) display. The notebook features Dell ControlPoint™ software that lets users stay connected via wireless connectivity with support for current wireless technologies such as Wi-Fi, Wireless-N and Bluetooth® 2.1. Combined with the integrated webcam and microphone, the wireless connectivity allows users to stay in touch with family and friends via chat, video conferencing and instant messaging. The notebook also features Dell ProSupport Mobility Services that provides security options to protect data from unauthorized access. This includes the Fingerprint Reader OR FIPS Fingerprint Reader (optional for upgrade) that reads user’s fingerprint before granting access to data on the note book. The E6500 also features Dell ImageDirect, Dell Client Manager (DCM) management console, and Intel vPro™ technologies. Intel vPro technology has remote management features that that gives users the ability to manage systems that are powered down or have no operating system. This feature reduces time spent on patch deployment by up to 94 percent and desk-side service visits by up to 56 percent. The Dell Latitude E6500 is compatible with E-Port and E-Port Plus docking device that allows users to expand the notebook with additional interfaces like USB, powered eSATA and graphics ports, which allows them to connect it to networks, keyboards, monitors, and other peripherals.

The Dell Latitude E6500 is also compatible with E-View Laptop Stand, E-Flat Panel Stand for horizontal swivel angles and automatic weight-regulated height adjustment mechanism, E-Monitor Stand which features a front-access power on/off button and comes with a front eject button; and E-Legacy Extender which provides additional legacy ports such as serial port, parallel port, or PS/2 port. The Latitude E6500 comes with a carrying case with soft grip handles and EVA compression molded foam for shock and vibe protection. The Dell Neoprene Sleeves are designed to protect the laptop from everyday wear.
