The XPS M2010 is a desktop replacement laptop by Dell set at the price of $3,500. It has a 20-inch display screen, a Bluetooth keyboard that is detachable and an integrated video camera with microphone. It is covered with a well-marbled and charcoal gray paint whereas the inside is covered in black with highlights here and there as well as glowing lights. It measures 18.5 x 15.9 x 2.9 (WxDxH) inches and it weights at 18.3 pounds. The Dell XPS M2010 is available in black.

Display & Webcam
It features an adjustable display that can be moved at certain degrees for example, 90-degree angle to the keyboard, 10 inches inward, and tilts about 65 degrees upward. Display is a 20.1 in TFT active matrix with the maximum resolution of 1680 x 1050. Color support is 24-bit (16.7M colors) and the display is a high-definition BrightView Widescreen. There’s a 1.3-megapixel Webcam and an integrated microphone just above the display that can be used for video conferencing with programs such as yahoo and msn messengers.

Processor, RAM & Hard Disk
Processor is Intel Core 2 Duo 2.0 GHz with the chipset type of Intel 945. It has 2.0 installed RAM and can be upgraded up to 4.0GB. There’s a 250.0 GB – 5400.0 rpm standard hard drive on this laptop. There’s also a DVD-ROM. Graphics processor on this laptop is ATI Mobility RADEON X1800 with the video memory of 256.0 MB.

Keyboard & Speakers
A sound card is present as well as a microphone. It has eight speakers with a built-in subwoofer which sums to a home stereo. It also has a detachable keyboard and a Media Center remote. The full-size keyboard includes a touchpad with mouse buttons and a number pad. It also comes complete with multimedia controls. The keyboard can be used away from the laptop using its built-in Bluetooth radio. The Media Center remote has an LCD display that can show tracks being played and their information including music and video information. It has a built-in microgyroscope and with this, by waving the remote you can control the cursor on the display. There’s also a Bluetooth mouse.

Connections
This laptop can be used to fax or as a modem with the maximum transfer rate of 56.0 Kbps and the protocols and specifications ITU V.92. For networking purposes, there are features such as Fast Ethernet, Ethernet and Gigabit Ethernet. For expansion and connectivity purposes, there are expansion slots for 1.0 Memory – Type I/II, 2.0 Multimedia card reader and 1.0 ExpressCard 54/34. Interfaces present are for 1.0 x Display/video – Hi-Speed USB, 1.0 x IEEE 1394a – RJ-11, 1.0 x DVI-I – RJ-45, 1.0 x IR blaster, 1.0 x Ethernet, 1.0 x Microphone, 1.0 x S-Video, 1.0 x Modem and 4.0 x Hi-Speed USB. The Dell XPS M2010 also features other connectivity tools such as Bluetooth. There are two media card readers that can support 13 card formats such as SD and compactflash. There’s a DVI output that can be used to connect to external displays.

Battery & Operating System
There’s a Lithium ion battery on this laptop with its adapter provided. Operating system is Vista Home Premium. Software on this laptop are Roxio Creator, Dell Media Experience, Paint Shop Photo Album, Roxio MyDVD, Paint Shop Pro, Drivers & Utilities, McAfee Personal Firewall Plus and McAfee.com VirusScan Online.
