The HP Compaq Airlife 100 smartbook was originally announced for its release in February and only now it is available but only in Spain without any news for its release in the United States. According to reviews made by Engadget Spanish and Carrypad, the Android 1.6 Compaq Airlife 100 smartbook was designed with aesthetic value. As for its performance, it is found to be lacking in certain area and most of the problems occurred due to its software design.
The smartbook supports a very small amount of video codecs, does not play well when it comes to HD videos, and the most embarrassing moments for the smartbook is its failure to even loading Gmaile. With an expected price of a few Euros lower than a netbook that comes with a Broadcom Crystal HD accelerator, it will definitely cost a lot for the downturn support from IT user for the HP Smartbook.
