HP, also known as Hewlett-Packard, will be releasing seven notebooks that will be equipped with the latest AMD chips. This release will surely help AMD rise alongside Intel who has been rising high in the market lately. Hewlett-Packard’s new laptops in the ProBook range will now work faster based on those AMD processors which will make them about 69 percent faster than the other laptops. These new ProBook laptops will also have better battery life (beyond five hours), thanks to the AMD in them.
HP says, “These new chips include many architectural improvements that help AMD close the power and performance gap with Intel, this is the company’s largest introduction of laptops with AMD chips.”
These new notebooks will consist of three ProBook S-series and two ProBook B-series. They will be released with AMD’s Phenom II, Turion II and Athlon II and V-series processors.
Also included in these upcoming notebooks will be dual-core processors and AMD’s first triple-core and quad-core laptop chips. The new HP ProBook notebooks are expected to be cheaper than Intel-based laptops starting at US$619. They will be released later on this month.
