The Lenovo Thinkpad T61p is a notebook that is powered by Intel® Core™ Duo processor technology, and is supported by NVIDIA® Quadro® professional graphics processor and a 1920×1200 WUXGA display for workstation-quality computing in a mobile PC. The ThinkPad T61p also features an integrated camera, smart card reader and media card reader options, on its 3.91 pounds, 0.83 inches thin form factor. The notebook offers users with energy efficiency by more than 25%, extended battery life and increases mobile computing time. Other features that help stretch computing time away from home is the Lenovo Battery Stretch which lets users make temporary selections in extreme situations to extend battery life, switchable graphics that lets users move to lower quality graphics when maximized mobile computing time is required, integrated graphics that reduce power consumption by using only part of the laptop’s RAM, LCD backlight displays and SSD drives use less battery power and create less heat; optical disk drive and audio automatically switch to a low power state when there’s no activity and Green Power Scheme and ThinkPad EnergySaver technology help preserve mobile computing time. The switchable graphics let users power-up graphics for important presentations, then power them down to preserve battery life with the press of a hot-key between Performance and Power Saving modes, or switch via the software user interface. The LED backlit displays are mercury-free and generate 25% brighter displays, consuming less power and weigh 70 grams less than conventional CCFL displays. The wide dimming range can be used to reduce brightness while still experiencing a clear display in dim environments. The Thinkpad T61p also features a DisplayPort video port that let users attach a high-resolution digital DVI monitor as well as TVs and projectors. Connectivity on the notebook is powered by Ultra-Wideband Bluetooth and WiMAX. The notebook also features Lenovo’s ThinkVantage® Technologies that maximize security and convenience, Client Security Solution for an integrated security solution out of the box; integrated fingerprint reader enables biometric authentication with the swipe of a finger (on select T Series models); Intel Anti-Theft protection on the ThinkPad T400 notebook offers an extra layer of security and manageability incorporated with Computrace® Data Protection™ and Intel vPro™ technology; Intel AT-p that lets user activate hardware-based, client-side intelligence to secure the PC and data if it’s lost or stolen. The technology is built into the hardware, so it provides a local, tamper-resistant defense that works even if the OS is reimaged, a new hard drive is installed or the laptop is disconnected from the network.
