The Toshiba Tecra R10 is a notebook that features a high-resolution 14.1 inch diagonal widescreen display that is ideal for multitasking, tackling spreadsheets and viewing multimedia. The notebook is powered by an Intel® Centrino® 2 with VPro™ Technology processor that is supported by 4th-Generation EasyGuard® Technology. The Tecra® R10 features added security, hard drive protection, laptop optimization options, plus a PC Health Monitor to optimize operation of the PC. The Tecra R10 is also powered by an NVIDIA® discrete graphic card, and features a high-speed hard drive for data access, an integrated Webcam and Microphone for videoconferencing, an eSATA/USB combo port for using external storage devices, and much more. It is powered by a 9-cell li-ion battery pack. The high-speed eSATA USB port on the Tecra R10 lets users transfer files to and from the notebook in the timely optimized way, and expands storage capabilities by connecting an external storage and an eSATA port on the Toshiba notebook to offload files, videos and transfer them faster (5x) than via a standard USB port. The unit also features Toshiba PC Health Monitor that is part of the 4th-Generation EasyGuard® Technology suite which helps protect the notebook by proactively checking the machine and alerting users to issues ahead of time. The PC Health Monitor provides users with a graphical overview of things like laptop temperature, fan speed and the condition of the battery, allowing users to monitor their notebook. The PC Health Monitor also provides user with diagnostic tests along with steps users can take to make their machine perform better.
